What inspired you to launch Silverstone Communications?

From a young age I was drawn to politics and community issues. As a 10-year-old I followed the 1983 General Election avidly. I am motivated by a desire to ensure that everyone is heard. This passion was ignited after witnessing challenges faced by my community and how effective communication can address them. This inspired me to launch Silverstone Communications to advise organisations on how to “Listen to, Engage with and Learn from” the communities they are impacting upon so that gaps can be bridged, connections made, and mutual benefits created.

What do you love most about your job?

I love that our work drives real change. It's rewarding to see our efforts tangibly improve lives through advocacy, understanding and mobilising support, made possible by the trust our clients place in us to guide them through complex stakeholder landscapes.

What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?

Key lessons include embracing kindness, humility and continuous learning; remembering my roots; building relationships and resilience; and viewing challenges as opportunities to grow.

What are some of your favourite local spots to visit?

I am lucky enough to be based in West Sussex. There is so much to choose. From the heritage and landscapes of Petworth to the awe-inspiring Seven Sisters, the rare charm of the Bluebell Railway, and the peaceful High Weald walks are perfect for exploring with Jess (our dog).
